The Shed to close after 26 years

Glasgow nightclub The Shed to close

The Shed has been part of the Glasgow nightlife since 1998 but did you know that the building has a longer history.

Originally opened in the 1920s as Marlborough House, it was the location of many nights out, wedding receptions and get-togethers for Southsiders and beyond.

The Shed will be hosting a range of farewell events until it’s final closing night on 14th September.  The future of the Shawlands building has not yet been decided.

Here are some photos from the years and a diorama we had made for our wedding anniversary as we got married in The Corona, so there’s a wee bit of The Shed included.
