A look inside the new ice cream shop for Glasgow’s Southside
Peacock’s Scoop Shop is now open after teasing us for so long! You may have tried their delicious ice creams by buying them in BAM or direct from their outlet in Cessnock. No need to worry if your flavour is in stock, as they now have their own ice cream shop!
If you haven’t tried Peacock’s Ice Cream, here is what you are missing. The ice cream is North American style, which means it is made with more cream than normal ice cream or gelato and usually has bits in it – think Ben and Jerry’s.
Here is a look at the menu, as you can see there are specials available as well.
Plus, about half, we think are vegan friendly ice creams.
There’s not just ice cream on sale.
or get your very own Peacock’s Scoop Shop T-Shirt!
So what did we try? A tub of campfire ice cream and a melon float, made with Japanese melon fanta.
Campfire ice cream consists of toasted marshmallow ice cream with dark Belgian chocolate chunks and graham cracker pieces. It really does taste like smores off a campfire.
The melon float just made me think of Japan, creamy ice cream and that gorgeous melon flavoured soda.
Uh oh I feel a few wanders along the road for a visit for that ice cream fix.
