Best places for ice cream in Glasgow

July 19, 2022 by Glasgow Foodie Leave a Comment

There isn't anything better than ice cream on a sunny day, well maybe a cold pint in a beer garden. So whether you like a straightforward pokey hat* or a double nougat is your favourite. Here are some of our faves.

*An ice cream cone in Glaswegian.

University Cafe, 83-87 Byres Road, Glasgow, G11 5HN

Famous since 1918 and rightly so.

Bearsden G61 3DY

Ice cream and churros pioneers.... you'll be needing a lie down after a visit.

Colpi, 38 Main Street, Milngavie, G62 6BU

Another long-running family business. Their vanilla is fantastic but wait till you try their other flavours. Each day there is something different.

Brooklyn Cafe, 21 Minard Road, Glasgow, G41 2HR

Vegan and traditionally made ice cream is available here, leave some space for their legendary empire biscuits.

Ginesi's Artisan Gelato, 455 Victoria Road, Glasgow, G42 8RW

For years based along the road in the superbly decorated Queens Cafe, Ginesi's can be found by the queue out the door. Vegan ice cream is available
