Review of Palm Tree Kitchen Bridge Street
Palm Tree Kitchen on Bridge Street, not far from The Laurieston, has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. This is the kind of place for a dependable meal rather than a flashy night out.

What we ate and drank
We needed some refreshment, so picked three drinks: lemon & mint, aryan and Shani – a fruity fizzy drink.

We shared a lamb zurbian which was described as “fresh lamb, cardamom seeds, ginger, cinnamon, saffron ans a mixture of spices served with basmati rice.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much of the spices mentioned. Most of the flavour seemed to be from the caramelised onions on top. The lamb was tender, but sadly, no specific fragrant spice taste.
Side of eggs with cheese. Egg omelette, onions, tomatoes, peppers and melted cheese. A thin omelette with more like yoghurt on top.

Wet beans – white beans with tomato, onions, green coriander and special spices. This was delicious served atop the lamb. A light and fragrant sauce.

The bread was also a hit, just order the one!
Verdict
A spot for a relaxing catch up with friends, shareable dishes and we felt in no need to rush. More of those spices would be better.
Toilets could do with a deep clean.
