Brunching in Shawlands on Minard Road
Minard Road in Shawlands is returning to be one of the places to brunch. We wandered along to Eatery at the weekend for a leisurely brunch.
Inside, it is very different to the previous tenant Silk Road Deli. With less of a streetside cafe eat and go vibe and more of a linger and enjoy feeling.
Menu at Eatery
A wide array of items on the menu with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options.
What we had to eat and drink
We admit it, we struggled to pick off the menu as there were so many tasty sounding options.
Mark picked the Spicy Stornoway, chorizo, black pudding, crispy potatoes and fried eggs on sourdough. A hearty dish with a good kick to the sauce. A happy Mark!
I’m always a sucker for a tattie scone, so brioche roll number 1 was ordered with its towering contents of bacon, black pudding, fried egg and potato scone. A floofy brioche, which was delicious, although I think with all these tasty goodies it did need a traditional Scottish roll.
The mother picked brioche French toast with bacon and maple syrup. Perfectly caramelised brioche with tasty smokey bacon.
Verdict
Thumbs up from all of us. Tasty grub, friendly service and we didn’t feel rushed at all. A relaxing brunch spot in Shawlands.
