Six by Nico Merchant City lands AA Rosette
There’s good news for Glasgow’s food scene as Six by Nico Merchant City has picked up a coveted 1 AA Rosette, recognising the restaurant’s consistently high standards and creative approach to dining in the city centre.
Part of the Six by Nico group, founded by Glasgow chef Nico Simeone, the Merchant City spot has built a loyal following thanks to its ever-changing six-course tasting menus and accessible take on fine dining.
If you’ve been before, you’ll know the drill. Every six weeks, the concept flips — new theme, new dishes, new story. One month you could be travelling through childhood nostalgia, the next it’s a global food tour. Right now, it’s all about Seoul, with a Korean-inspired tasting menu bringing bold flavours and plenty of theatre to the table.
Speaking about the award, Chief Creative Officer Andy Temple said the recognition reflects the team’s focus on delivering something “exciting, accessible and memorable” for guests something regulars will already be familiar with.
In a city packed with dining options, Six by Nico Merchant City continues to stand out by offering an experience that changes as often as the Glasgow weather!
