Si Ferry’s new Glasgow restaurant Le Set confirms Princes Square opening date

Si Ferry’s new Glasgow restaurant Le Set confirms Princes Square opening date

A new Glasgow city centre restaurant and late-night venue from Si Ferry and Jordan Allan will open later this month, bringing dining, cocktails, Champagne, DJs and dancing to Princes Square.

Le Set will officially open at The Penthouse in Princes Square on Thursday 24 September 2026, just in time for Glasgow’s September Weekend.

Reservations for the new venue open on Wednesday 9 September.

What is Le Set Glasgow?

Le Set is the latest project from Si Ferry, best known for the Open Goal podcast, and his business partner Jordan Allan.

The pair are already behind Glasgow restaurant Grosso, but their latest project is designed to offer something quite different.

Rather than being somewhere guests simply visit for dinner, Le Set has been created as an all-night destination where diners can stay for cocktails, Champagne, live music, DJs and dancing until 1am.

The venue will open seven nights a week from 12pm, serving lunch and dinner before gradually shifting into a livelier late-night atmosphere.

What’s on the menu at Le Set?

Food will be a major part of the new Princes Square restaurant, with an indulgent menu designed around smaller plates, sharing dishes and larger plates for the table.

Launch dishes include:

– Miso Black Cod
– Le Set Lobster French Toast
– Wagyu Beef Tacos
– Millionaire Fries topped with fresh truffle and caviar

Heading up the kitchen is Head Chef Nick Rietz, formerly head chef at Glasgow institution Two Fat Ladies and founder of Michelin Guide-listed Bilson Eleven.

Rietz has also worked at Hof van Cleve in Belgium, which at the time held three Michelin stars.

The menu has been designed to work whether diners are visiting purely for the food or planning to settle in for the whole evening.

Cocktails, Champagne and caviar

Drinks will be just as important as the food at Le Set.

The bar will offer a curated wine and Champagne list alongside classic and signature cocktails.

Drinks confirmed so far include the Matcha Espresso Martini, Dirty Martini, Yuzu Highball and Le Set Spicy Margarita.

There will also be a particularly decadent option called Bolly & a Bump, pairing caviar with chilled Bollinger Champagne.

A limited number of tables around the bar will be kept available for walk-ins each evening.

Dinner followed by DJs and dancing

One of the main ideas behind Le Set is that guests shouldn’t have to start looking for another bar once dinner finishes.

As the evening progresses, the venue will move from restaurant to late-night party destination with live saxophone, resident DJs, cocktails and dancing.

The music programme will be curated by So Serious Artists, founded by Glasgow-born DJ and producer Illyus Barrientos.

Barrientos has performed at venues and events including Hï Ibiza, Ushuaïa, Fabric, Printworks and The Warehouse Project.

Si Ferry said the aim was to create somewhere where diners could arrive for dinner and stay for their entire night out.

«“We wanted to create somewhere you could book for dinner and know that was your whole night sorted. The food has to be strong enough to make people come in for that alone, but after that we want the room to keep building around you.”»

He added that the plan is for the atmosphere to gradually change as the night progresses, with drinks, music and live sax encouraging guests to remain in the venue rather than move elsewhere.

Jordan Allan said Le Set would be a different proposition from Grosso.

«“It’s more polished, more layered and much more about the full evening rather than just one part of it.”»

He added that food, drinks and music had all been given equal consideration, with the atmosphere designed to build naturally throughout the evening.

Inside Le Set at Princes Square

A full look at the interiors is expected to be revealed later in September.

However, the new restaurant will feature a statement marble bar, integrated DJ booth, rich finishes and atmospheric lighting.

The design has been created to work across the different stages of the day, moving from daytime lunch and dinner service into cocktails and late-night entertainment.

Le Set opening weekend

Le Set will launch ahead of Glasgow’s September Weekend, with several special events and collaborations planned.

Food, Champagne, wine and spirits events are expected in partnership with brands including Whispering Angel, Grey Goose and Veuve Clicquot.

Further details about the opening weekend programme are due to be announced.
