Franchise Cha Sha arrives in Glasgow
English South Indian street food has arrived in Shawlands at the old G41 unit.

We wandered along for some brunch, excited to wake up our tastebuds with some delicious chai as they dscribe themselves as “home of South-Asian music, culture and garam Chai”
No welcome as you come in, the two members of staff are aimlessly wanderjng around, which means every guest seems to also just stand around.
Menu at Cha Sha Glasgow

Unwashed tables, scabby menus and parents treating the place like a playgroup..surprised no one was injured with kids running around.

Staff don’t seem to be aware of what table has ordered what, and be prepared to wait, 30 mins for us…for what is essentially warmed up food. Seriously, we were starting to think of going to Greggs!
Cha Sha Special Desi Breakfast £11.50
Paratha, channa, aloo curry, chicken keema, spicy desi omelette, karax chai and halwa.

Desi Nashta Breakfast £9.50
Paratha with channa, aloo curry, spicy desi omelette, karak chai and halwa.

Halwa had no flavour, just sugary stodge, still waiting for the spice with the spicy omelette, overly spiced food with actually very little flavour or aloo! and the paratha was greasy! Served on prison trays.

Our chai was served in takeaway cups, everyone else got nice clay mugs…watery, tasteless chai. Not the strong, milky drink expected.
Now onto the toilet check. Every incarnation here has had trouble with the toilets, always frozen. Nothing has changed however now with the added bonus of half used toilet rim block beside a pint glass at the toilet and a broken toilet tissue holder – this place has been open mere minutes!

The wet mop, no towels and random cleaning implements just lyjng around added to the ambiance.

🤬
