Budget lunch in Glasgow city centre
Time for another lunch date with the Colonel and this time we head to old favourite Bread Meats Bread. They currently have a lunch deal on – selected burgers and sandwiches, a portion of chips and a soft drink for £12.95.

What we ate
We both picked the Bacon Brunch Burger which comes with a smashed burger, American cheese, crispy bacon, fried egg, hash brown and gochujang mayo. One with tater tots and the other with normal fries, both washed down with some finest Irn Bru.
Very impressed with the size of the portion for the price. A substantial lunch that will keep you going for the week! Moist and flavoursome burger, crispy and perfectly rounded sweet/salty bacon, a fluffy hash brown that soaked up the bacon juice and the American cheese. A flawlessly cooked fried egg, and I’m not a huge fan of fried egg white – even I ate it!
My only minus was that the tater tots were a tad gloopy in the middle, the outsides were crisp.
Verdict
Thumbs up and full bellies for a budget lunch deal in Glasgow city centre.
