Glasgow burger guru crowned National Burger Chef of the Year!
More fantastic news for the Glasgow food scene at the National Burger Awards.
16 chefs from a range of the UK’s best burger joints competed in a live cook-off.
Nick Watkins of El Perro Negro impressed judges and was crowned National Burger Chef of the Year. This required the contestsnts to make the ultimate burger from a selection of sponsor ingredients.
You may remember that Nick and El Perro Negro won National Burger of the Year in 2019 and 2021!
Thos years winner of National Burger of the Year was Stewart Down of Black Bear Burger.
Down’s Miso Bacon Burger featured two 45-day aged beef patties, cheese, smoked bacon, miso butter mayo and onion.
