Bangin Pizza in Princes Square

Naples style pizza in Glasgow city centre

I think it’s safe to say that Glasgow loves a Naples style pizza and the good news is that there is another place to get a pizza when you have done your shopping or before going to watch a film in the nearby Everyman cinema.

Bangin Pizza have shops in Dumbarton and Johnstone and have an excellent reputation for serving delicious pizzas.

They have recently opened as part of the Big Feed experience at Princes Square, so we popped along to try it out.

What we ate

A Highlander for Mark, which has San Marzano tomatoes, smoked Ayrshire bacon, aged Scottish cheddar, Stornoway black pudding, Neapolitan Fior Di Latte and basil.

Lots of cheese, bacon that tastes of bacon and of course you can’t beat Stornoway black pudding.

I had a La Salsiccia, San Marzano tomatoes, Tuscan sausage, Friarelli broccoli, Fior Di Latte and Pecorino cheese, plus basil.

Fennel infused sausage – just enough to give it flavour, and cheese where the main players here.

We both enjoyed the chewy and blackened crust, remember to get some dips, especially the garlic.

We also had a portion of cheesy bangin fries, skin on fries topped with Pecorino cheese. A huge portion, and really not needed as we were stuffed.

Verdict

👍

Chewy crust, that Napoli style pizza tastiness and filling.
