Get ready for the best Christmas yet at Paisley Christmas Lights Switch-On!

Featuring the Red Hot Chilli Pipers taking to the stage before the switch-on at 6pm

The programme will feature an outdoor stage with live acts, lighting installations, street performances. Full information below.

Live stage programme

There will be live entertainment all day on our stage at Gauze Street (where it meets Silk Street) from 1pm until the switch on at 6pm.

The stage will be presented by radio presenter Gina McKie, arriving at 2pm.

3pm – 3.45pm: That Swing Sensation present The Swinging Santas

Pop-up performances

Pop-up performances outside Paisley Central Library from local singer-songwriters and community choirs will keep you entertained until the switch-on.

Food and drink

Big Feed’s Christmas Market will be in Abbey Close from 1pm – 6pm with a selection of delicious food and drink traders, as well as some market stalls – perfect for picking up a Christmas gift or two!

Entertainment

Festive characters will be wandering through the town centre including Jack Frost on stilts and giant illuminated characters such as Santa and an elf.
Magical Light Tunnels will light up Dunn Square with different colours, effects and music.

Head to Santa’s Workshop at the Art Department for some festive arts and crafts.

Restoration and Creation will be hosting a Christmas wreath making workshop and a market in Browns Lane.

There will also be a funfair in County Square, Bridge Street and Bridge Street Car Park.
