The World Whisky Awards have voted Lidl’s Ben Bracken Islay Single Malt whisky best tasting in category*.

In what could be coined as a whisky ‘Star Wars’, Lidl’s very own award winner is pictured in the hands of a dashing silver fox proudly donning the official Lidl Tartan in Bonnie Scotland. A nod to a recent campaign from a familiar big brand, Lidl’s whisky is conveniently an af(Ford)able £18.49.
Produced on the Isle of Islay, Lidl’s Ben Bracken is a powerful whisky is packed with a recognisable peat and smoke flavours, alongside salted bananas and baked apples arouse the senses.
*Lidl’s Ben Bracken Islay Single Malt Scotch was awarded both Gold and Category Winner in the World Whisky Awards 2025. The Ben Bracken was a category winner, the best Single Malt within its Islay region in the 12 years and under category, beating all other brands.
